Keyword Research Services - Worth It Or Not?
If you aren't a guru then you may (like me) find keyword research difficult. I can find keywords all day long. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. After all, they should be giving out accurate info. Well, it turns out the figures aren't always right.
The results you see are not always correct, far from it. But it will have been spot on at some time. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.
I decided to go for a keyword with about five thousand competing pages. I was pretty sure I could get a good result with that keyword. I put out probably thousands of articles.
It didn't take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. I couldn't believe my eyes. I started to think thinks weren't going to be easy as I thought. It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.
My point being is that I'd have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A good result all round in my opinion.
Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn't count on getting lucky every time. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. Balancing cost against time taken (by me) seemed to prove it could be a valuable asset.
I chose to give Travis Sago's Instacash keyword research service a go. Let's face it, Travis is THE bum marketer. And I like bum marketing, I like it a lot.
It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. If I contrast a couple hours of my time against the cost each day it has to be value.
I get a lot of emails from gurus banging on about outsourcing. I reckon there's not much difference here. I'm giving my keyword research to someone else to do. That's outsourcing.
If you're interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. Earlier I mentioned that I ended up with thousands of articles on websites for a certain keyword. I'll show you how I did that at my site.
